There will be several dissertations in April in the field of Sport and Health Sciences.
 

1) On April 8th M.Sc. (Sport Sciences) Joonas Kalari defended his doctoral dissertation in Educational Science "Coordinative abilities from childhood to adulthood – A 24 year longitudinal study". The doctoral dissertation was held in Finnish.

2) On April 9th M.Sc. (Sport Sciences) Juha Valtonen defended his doctoral dissertation in Educational Science "Step marks to become a PE teaching class teacher in the primary school. Pre-class teacher education socialization environments, perceived strengths and beliefs of quality PE." The doctoral dissertation was held in Finnish.

3) On April 13th, M.Sc. (Health Sciences) Marja-Leena Kauronen defended her doctoral thesis in Health Promotion and Health Education "Ohjaajien toiminta elintapamuutosten tukemisessa tyypin 2 diabeteksen ehkäisyn ryhmäohjauksessa” / "The group counselling in the support of the living habits in the type 2 diabetes prevention". The doctoral dissertation was held in Finnish.

4) On April 15th M.Sc. (Sport Sciences) Arto Laukkanen defends his doctoral dissertation in Sport Pedagogy ”Physical activity and motor competence in 4-8-year-old children: results of a family-based cluster-randomized controlled physical activity trial”. The doctoral dissertation is held in English.
